Assured provides software solutions that power claims processing for large insurers, replacing manual methods with automated, data-driven systems. As a Staff Data Analyst, you will partner with leaders across the organization to uncover trends, measure performance, and recommend actions that improve business outcomes.
You will move beyond simple reporting to investigate root causes and solve ambiguous business problems. Your work will help teams understand customer behaviors, optimize operational efficiency, and make confident decisions based on reliable data.
What you'll do
- Design and analyze experiments to separate signal from noise in business initiatives
- Build dashboards providing visibility into operational performance and customer outcomes
- Analyze multi-source data to identify patterns, risks, and emerging opportunities
- Use segmentation and cohort analysis to understand user behaviors and drivers
- Partner with stakeholders to answer high-impact questions and evaluate tradeoffs
- Improve data quality and instrumentation by identifying gaps in collection
- Communicate analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
What you'll need
- Track record of solving complex business problems through thoughtful analysis
- Strong SQL skills for working with large datasets
- Ability to investigate root causes rather than just building reports
- Comfortable defining metrics and analyses for ambiguous business questions
- Adaptable to new tools and focused on problem-solving over specific stacks
- Experience influencing decisions and driving strategy with data
Nice to have
- Experience with Python or R for analytics
- Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
- Knowledge of AWS, Snowflake, or Databricks platforms
