Bayesian Health seeks a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to own the effectiveness of real-time models in a live clinical product. You will bridge the gap between data science and applied engineering, handling everything from model tuning to production deployment.
The team empowers clinicians with data-driven insights to improve patient outcomes. This role requires deep involvement in writing production-grade code and debugging data flows within AWS services.
What you'll do
- Develop and tune new ML models based on clinical use cases
- Implement models using production-grade Python code
- Debug and improve timeliness of model predictions
- Build infrastructure for ML model development and deployment
- Trace patient data through AWS services to resolve issues
What you'll need
- PhD plus 3+ years experience or Master’s plus 5+ years
- Proven track record shipping ML-based software products
- Strong skills in production-grade Python and SQL
- Experience owning models from prototyping to production
- Proficiency with MLOps tools like SageMaker and MLFlow
Nice to have
- Experience building high-impact AI products from scratch
- Familiarity with messy healthcare data sets
- Background working with enterprise customers
- Ability to interpret peer-reviewed research methods
