You will drive design strategy across multiple high-impact areas, including AI-powered patient support tools and core portal flows. As a senior individual contributor, you will modernize the design system and raise visual quality standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve ambiguous problems in healthcare.
What you'll do
- Lead design for Clinical AI experiences, patient portals, and design system evolution
- Define interaction patterns for conversational AI and emerging technologies
- Improve core patient flows such as intake, scheduling, and visit preparation
- Partner with product, engineering, and clinical teams to shape strategy
- Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions
- Mentor team members and raise the craft bar through critique and example
- Translate complex AI capabilities into transparent and trustworthy interfaces
What you'll need
- 7+ years of product design experience with complex digital products
- Portfolio demonstrating strong interaction design and visual craft
- Experience designing rich web and native mobile applications
- Ability to lead design in ambiguous or zero-to-one product spaces
- Strong skills in user research, planning, and synthesizing insights
- Experience creating or evolving scalable design systems
- Proficiency in prototyping complex interactions before development
Nice to have
- Experience designing conversational interfaces or AI assistants
- Background in healthcare or regulated industries
- Experience establishing visual language for products or systems
- Knowledge of machine learning or large language model products
