Deepgram is expanding beyond APIs to build direct-to-user AI applications. As Staff Product Manager, you will define this new product line, determining which tools to build, who they serve, and how they generate revenue. You will own the strategy and roadmap while partnering with engineering, design, and research teams.
The ideal candidate has shipped paid consumer or prosumer products from scratch and possesses deep technical understanding of AI models. You will work in an AI-first environment where experimenting with advanced tools is part of the daily workflow.
What you'll do
- Define strategy for AI application product line and target users
- Own roadmap decisions, prioritization, and trade-offs
- Drive business metrics including acquisition and monetization
- Represent product commitments to partners and customers
- Establish operating rhythm based on hypotheses and measurements
- Collaborate daily with research, engineering, design, and marketing
- Create mockups, wireframes, and working prototypes
What you'll need
- Proven track record of shipping paid consumer or prosumer apps
- Experience defining products from idea to first user adoption
- Deep fluency in AI with shipped end-user applications
- Technical ability to discuss models, latency, and code
- Strong design sense for simple, effective interfaces
- Ability to communicate clearly with executives under pressure
- Judgment to validate metrics before building on them
Nice to have
- Experience building native desktop or mobile applications
- Background shipping products through distribution partners
- Knowledge of voice, audio, or real-time systems
- Experience in companies with self-serve and enterprise motions
