Join Block Labs to engineer production-grade platforms at the intersection of Web3, Artificial Intelligence, and iGaming. As an individual contributor, you will own the full lifecycle of distributed Go services, from architectural decisions to production operations. The team values deep technical expertise and thoughtful system design over hierarchical management.
What you'll do

- Design and implement distributed Go services for high-volume transactional workloads
- Ensure strict correctness guarantees for balances and transactional behaviors
- Run agentic systems for context management, decomposition, and verification
- Define guardrails, tests, and automated checks to prevent technical debt
- Operate shipped systems by monitoring failure modes and performing fixes
What you'll need
- Deep proficiency in Go for high-volume, transactional systems taken to production
- Strong judgment on multi-tenancy, event-driven architecture, and queue failure modes
- Experience building deliberate agentic engineering systems for code verification
- Proven ability to carry projects from incomplete objectives to production ownership
- Capability to make reversible decisions under ambiguity without finished specifications
- Commitment to cloud-native reliability, observability, and security standards
Nice to have
- Background in fintech, real money gaming, or high-traffic consumer products
- Experience with rules engines, real-time scoring, or decisioning systems
- Prior work designing APIs for multi-tenant or white-label products
Stack
- Go
- Agentic Systems
- Event-driven Architecture
- Cloud Native Infrastructure
How you'll work
- Individual contributor role with no direct reports
- No prioritized backlog; self-directed scope and sequencing
- Agents are primary means of production, not optional aids
- Collaborate directly with product, engineering, and QA teams
