Join the Detection & Deception team at Horizon3.ai to evolve Tripwires, a capability that places honeytokens along high-risk attack paths. You will design and ship features that generate alerts when attackers interact with decoys, helping customers investigate and respond to threats. The role requires blending deep security domain knowledge with hands-on engineering to deliver impactful solutions in an agile environment.
What you'll do
- Design and prototype new security capabilities within the NodeZero platform
- Develop honeytoken and honeypot creation, deployment, and detection logic
- Partner with product managers to translate goals into technical roadmaps
- Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar through code reviews
- Own the end-to-end technical vision from concept to shipping
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product portfolio
What you'll need
- Expert-level proficiency in large-scale Python software development
- Deep experience with network security, including reconnaissance and lateral movement
- Proficiency with Windows internals, Active Directory, and authentication
- Strong understanding of SMB and WMI network protocols
- Experience with Postgres or Neo4j database systems
- Minimum 4 years building offensive or defensive security solutions
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
Nice to have
- OSCP, GCWN, or equivalent security certifications
- Experience administering or defending cloud environments
- Knowledge of Docker and containerization technologies
- Familiarity with Entra ID, Okta, or similar identity services
- Experience with Azure Service Principals or AWS IAM
