Join the Data Engineering Team at Juniper Square to help unify technology and fund administration services for private markets. You will build pipelines from multiple sources, shape analytics products, and act as a technical expert on data matters as the team scales.
What you'll do
- Design and implement sophisticated data models using SQL
- Build scalable infrastructure for delivering business insights from raw data
- Act as technical expert on data matters within the growing team
- Introduce new technologies to enhance data pipeline capabilities
- Document data models, architectural decisions, and data dictionaries
- Assist with governance, code reviews, and access controls for consistency
- Guide product teams on instrumentation and usage reporting foundations
- Collaborate with software engineers to ensure scalable implementation
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- 7-11 years of experience building ETL or ELT pipelines from scratch
- Strong command of relational databases, preferably Postgresql
- Strong command of Python and experience with production web apps
- Experience with cloud-based services, preferably AWS RDS
- Experience developing on BI or data visualization platforms
- Basic understanding of data warehouses like Redshift or Snowflake
- Mandatory experience with ReactJS and TypeScript for web applications
- Experience building backend services using Python and FastAPI
- Familiarity with AI patterns such as RAG and tool-calling agents
- Demonstrated ability to use modern AI tools for code quality
Nice to have
- Familiarity with data catalog or governance platforms like OpenMetadata
- Experience designing reusable UI components and frontend architecture
- Ability to translate data into clear narratives for stakeholders
