BJAK is expanding beyond insurance to build an AI-native investing superapp for Southeast Asia, covering payments, remittance, wealth, and trading. As Technical Product Lead, you will own a product vertical from strategy to launch, ensuring reliability and regulatory compliance while leveraging AI where it adds genuine value.
What you'll do
- Own product vertical strategy, metrics, roadmap, and delivery end-to-end
- Shape technical design across APIs, data flows, ledgering, and security
- Balance trade-offs between correctness, speed, cost, and regulations
- Integrate KYC, transaction monitoring, and privacy requirements into products
- Apply AI with clear evaluation, safeguards, and human oversight
- Manage external dependencies like regulatory approvals and financial rails
- Align Engineering, Design, Compliance, and Operations on product decisions
What you'll need
- 5+ years of product management experience with complex technical products
- Strong foundation in system architecture, APIs, databases, and distributed systems
- Ability to review and contribute to technical designs with engineers
- Experience in regulated domains like payments, banking, or insurance
- Strong judgment for trade-offs under technical and regulatory constraints
- Experience building with LLMs or AI, including reliability evaluation
- Fluent English communication skills for global team collaboration
Nice to have
- Engineering or highly technical product background
- Experience building zero-to-one fintech or consumer products
- Experience defining evaluation frameworks for ML or LLM products
