You will develop the native Android experience for BJAK, focusing on insurance, payments, and financial services. The team prioritizes clean user flows, fast performance, and reliable feature delivery for real customers across Southeast Asia.
Working with product and design, you will simplify complex user journeys and ensure app stability. The role requires strong ownership of code quality, performance metrics, and seamless API integration.
What you'll do
- Build and ship Android features using Kotlin
- Create clean flows for insurance and payments
- Simplify complex user journeys with design teams
- Integrate backend APIs for stable mobile experiences
- Improve app performance, crash rates and memory usage
- Use analytics to drive product improvements
- Implement AI-assisted features where beneficial
What you'll need
- 3+ years of Android development with Kotlin
- Strong fundamentals and production app experience
- Knowledge of Jetpack, Coroutines and Flow
- Understanding of modern Android architecture
- Strong sense of mobile UX and usability
- Experience integrating REST APIs
- Ability to debug production issues effectively
- Strong English communication skills
