Join BJAK, a leading mobile-first insurance platform in Southeast Asia, as an Android Software Engineer. You will build native Android features using Kotlin, focusing on clean user flows, performance, and reliability for insurance, payments, and financial services.
The team works globally with a strong emphasis on product quality and fast execution. This position is remote-friendly but strictly limited to candidates currently residing in Korea to serve the local market.
What you'll do
- Build and ship Android features using Kotlin
- Create clean mobile flows for insurance and payments
- Collaborate with product and design to simplify user journeys
- Integrate backend APIs ensuring stability and security
- Improve app performance, crash rates, and memory usage
- Use analytics and production data to enhance the product
- Implement AI-assisted features where they add value
What you'll need
- 3+ years of Android development experience with Kotlin
- Strong fundamentals and experience shipping production apps
- Knowledge of Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow, and modern architecture
- Strong sense of mobile UX, usability, and edge cases
- Experience integrating REST APIs and debugging issues
- Fast execution with high ownership and attention to quality
- Strong English communication skills
