Join BJAK, a leading mobile-first insurance platform in Southeast Asia, as an Android Software Engineer. You will build and ship native Android features using Kotlin, focusing on clean user flows for insurance, payments, and financial services.
The team values fast execution, product quality, and reliable mobile experiences. You will collaborate with product and design teams to simplify complex user journeys and integrate backend APIs while ensuring app stability and performance.
What you'll do
- Build and ship Android features using Kotlin
- Create clean mobile flows for insurance and payments
- Collaborate with product and design to simplify user journeys
- Integrate backend APIs ensuring stability and security
- Improve app performance, crash rates, and memory usage
- Use analytics and user behavior data to enhance the product
- Implement AI-assisted features where they improve user experience
What you'll need
- 3+ years of Android development experience with Kotlin
- Strong Android fundamentals and production app experience
- Knowledge of Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow, and modern architecture
- Strong sense of mobile UX, usability, and edge cases
- Experience integrating REST APIs and debugging issues
- Fast execution skills and strong attention to product quality
- Strong English communication skills
