As Director of Data & AI, you will define the roadmap for analytics and machine learning, ensuring direct ties to product outcomes and business metrics. You will partner with engineering and product teams to deploy models for routing, pricing, and forecasting, while establishing robust data governance and infrastructure.
This role requires balancing strategic leadership with hands-on technical depth. You will build and mentor a data team, manage the Snowflake-based platform, and drive AI-forward innovations that improve logistics operations and customer experience.
What you'll do
- Own the data and ML roadmap aligned with product outcomes and company metrics
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ship features like smarter routing and pricing
- Lead ML strategy for optimization, forecasting, and delivery intelligence
- Manage model lifecycle from prototype to production monitoring and iteration
- Oversee analytics function providing metrics and dashboards for leadership
- Manage Snowflake data platform including modeling, semantics, and quality
- Establish data governance standards and ensure infrastructure scalability
- Recruit, hire, and mentor a high-performing data and machine learning team
What you'll need
- 8+ years in data or ML with 3+ years leading teams in high-growth settings
- Proven track record of shipping machine learning models to production
- Deep expertise with modern data stacks such as Snowflake
- Strong product instincts connecting data work to measurable business outcomes
- Ability to influence roadmaps alongside product and engineering leaders
- Comfortable being hands-on initially while scaling the team and function
Nice to have
- Experience in logistics, marketplace, or operations-heavy domains
- Background in implementing AI-native or agentic approaches to tooling
