You will lead the technical direction for Chariot's highest-stakes surface: the path from user discovery to payment receipt. This greenfield opportunity requires owning the mobile-first acquisition experience, claimant communications, and secure payment systems while building and growing the engineering team.
What you'll do
- Own the fast, high-conversion consumer funnel built mobile web-first
- Run rapid experimentation across the funnel tailored per case type
- Manage claimant communications, evidence collection, and dispute scheduling
- Oversee consumer payments and disbursements with strict auditability
- Contribute to shared platform foundations including internal tooling and MCPs
- Recruit, vet, and grow the engineers on the team
What you'll need
- Staff-level technical scope with production software shipping experience
- Track record of owning end-to-end product outcomes
- Strong product instincts and ability to make autonomous decisions
- Experience in early-stage startups (Series A or earlier)
- Ready to hire and lead engineers from day one
- Comfortable building with AI coding harnesses and agents daily
Nice to have
- Experience in regulated industries like legal, healthcare, or finance
- Background in high-conversion consumer funnels and rapid experimentation
- Experience building or operating payments, ledgers, or money-movement systems
