As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Blockstream, you will work directly alongside customer engineering and operations teams to implement production-ready solutions. You will bridge the gap between clients and internal product teams, ensuring successful adoption of Layer-2 technologies while contributing code and improvements back to the platform.
What you'll do
- Embed with customer teams to understand technical challenges and workflows
- Build AI-assisted prototypes and harden them into production playbooks
- Deploy software in on-premise, air-gapped, and network-isolated environments
- Integrate Blockstream products with core banking and capital markets systems
- Support technical pre-sales, RFPs, and scope estimation for new engagements
- Translate implementation learnings into code and product roadmap feedback
- Conduct user acceptance testing and post-go-live support sessions
What you'll need
- 4-8 years in software engineering, solutions engineering, or technical consulting
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or Rust for building independent integrations
- Experience deploying enterprise software in complex customer environments
- Strong grasp of enterprise integration patterns and security fundamentals
- Proven ability to manage multiple customer engagements independently
- Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites across North America
- Excellent English communication skills for stakeholder management
Nice to have
- Background in Bitcoin, blockchain, or digital asset infrastructure
- Experience with financial institutions like custody or payments
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and containerized deployments
- Familiarity with Layer-2 technologies and tokenization
- History of contributing customer feedback to engineering roadmaps
