As the most senior security leader, you will define the security roadmap, manage risks, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will lead two direct reports: a Staff engineer heading security engineering and a Director leading IT, GRC, and corporate security. The position requires high autonomy and close collaboration with Legal, Data, Engineering, and Product teams to deliver a secure product.
What you'll do
- Hire and lead engineers, GRC staff, and SOC partners
- Mentor reports ranging from junior ICs to Directors
- Define OKRs and strategic planning for security domains
- Expand control frameworks with automated evidence and policy lifecycle
- Direct AI-native vulnerability management and detection tooling
- Establish security culture through training and developer enablement
- Provide final technical direction on security architecture
- Report security posture and risk acceptance to the board
What you'll need
- 10+ years in security with 4+ years leading a function
- Experience managing managers, directors, and senior technical leaders
- Owned company-level security strategy and budget end-to-end
- Hands-on experience in at least two major security pillars
- Proven success scaling GRC programs and control frameworks
- Experience with SOX, GDPR, PCI, SOC2, or ISO27001 frameworks
- History of presenting to Board or Audit Committees
- Direct experience driving AI transformation in security or IT
