Join the Security team at Headway as an early member responsible for driving dedicated security engineering initiatives. You will partner with Product and Infrastructure teams to design secure systems, define application guardrails, and mature the company's cloud security posture across its AWS footprint.
The role involves building platforms that accelerate development while reducing risk, ensuring secure defaults for developers, and assisting with security operations such as incident response and vulnerability management.
What you'll do
- Partner with Product and Infrastructure teams to build secure platforms and reduce risk
- Conduct security reviews and assist with system design decisions
- Define and build infrastructure guardrails to enable secure-by-default development
- Build an AI-native approach to configuration standards and vulnerability remediation
- Assist in incident response, vulnerability management, and other operational tasks
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience in security or software engineering roles
- History of working on security-related projects or as a security generalist
- Strong technical depth in building secure platforms and products
- Experience performing security design and code reviews
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
- Interest in leveraging AI to reshape infrastructure security
