Join MUI as an Operations Engineer to treat internal company operations as an engineering problem. You will act as a hands-on force multiplier, building zero-defect data models and automating routine tasks across the organization using modern software techniques.

The team operates asynchronously in a radically transparent environment. You will have the autonomy to map workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement technical solutions that save leadership time and accelerate company velocity.

What you'll do

  • Own and maintain internal software stack including CRM, billing, and analytics dashboards
  • Build custom scripts and AI agents to eliminate manual tasks across departments
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to streamline lead pipelines and conversion funnels
  • Design reliable data pipelines and operational dashboards for strategic decision-making
  • Apply Lean principles to map workflows and resolve operational bottlenecks
  • Resolve cross-cutting technical issues across products and vendor platforms

  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • 2+ years building internal tools, data pipelines, or business automation
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and SQL for building tools and integrations
  • Mastery of SaaS ecosystems like Salesforce, HubSpot, Stripe, or NetSuite
  • Experience with AI workflows, LLM APIs, and low-code orchestration engines
  • Ability to design zero-defect data models and actionable BI dashboards
  • Self-directed problem solver who thrives in ambiguity and prioritizes effectively

Nice to have

  • Experience as a startup founder, Technical Ops Lead, or GTM Engineer
  • Familiarity with React, Next.js, and MUI's tool ecosystem
  • Background in open-source ecosystems or PLG telemetry metrics
  • Experience applying Lean principles in knowledge work contexts
