You will help set the technical direction for Atlan’s agent registry and gateway platform. The team builds foundational infrastructure that allows customers to build, run, and govern apps and AI agents at scale.
Your work will focus on solving complex distributed systems problems, including secure execution, multi-tenant isolation, and reliable workflow orchestration. You will partner with product and engineering teams to define architecture and technical standards.
What you'll do
- Design platform services for agent registries, gateways, and policy enforcement
- Build primitives for agent execution, including sandboxing and checkpointing
- Evolve workflow infrastructure using Temporal and Kubernetes
- Operate multi-tenant distributed systems for enterprise-scale workloads
- Mentor engineers and lead technical design reviews and RFCs
What you'll need
- 14+ years in platform engineering, infrastructure, or backend systems
- Strong experience building API gateways, service registries, or control planes
- Deep expertise in distributed systems and multi-tenant architectures
- Proficiency with Kubernetes, containerization, and AWS or GCP
- Ability to work autonomously on ambiguous cross-functional problems
Nice to have
- Experience with MCP, agent frameworks, or LLM gateways
- Background in building marketplaces or developer platforms
- Knowledge of identity and authorization for non-human actors
- Familiarity with Temporal, Terraform, Helm, or GitOps
- Experience operating systems with demanding SLOs and observability
