As a Principal Solutions Architect at Solvd Inc., you will shape the technical strategy for the Cloud, Infra, Data & Security business unit. You will define standards for AWS and Azure environments, design modern data platforms, and establish patterns for moving GenAI workloads from prototype to production.

You will work directly with leadership to de-risk engagements and ensure architectural decisions support security, cost efficiency, and operability. The role requires navigating ambiguity, mentoring senior engineers, and using AI tools to accelerate the architecture lifecycle.

What you'll do

  • Define reference architectures, landing zones, and standards for cloud and infrastructure
  • Design lakehouse, warehouse, and streaming patterns for modern data platforms
  • Create platform layers for GenAI and agentic workloads including governance and observability
  • Lead technical discovery, sizing, and solution design for client engagements
  • Integrate AI tools into discovery, design, code generation, and documentation processes
  • Own security by design including IAM, network segmentation, and compliance readiness
  • Ensure every design includes run cost estimates, reliability targets, and rollback plans
  • Mentor architects and senior engineers through design reviews and reusable accelerators

What you'll need

  • 12+ years in infrastructure, cloud, or data engineering with architect accountability
  • Deep hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure in production environments
  • Proficiency with production Kubernetes and Terraform or equivalent IaC tools
  • Experience designing modern data platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, Fabric, or Redshift
  • Strong security mindset covering IAM, zero-trust networking, and encryption
  • Proven use of AI tools to shorten delivery timelines and expand output
  • Ability to explain technical tradeoffs to executives and debug with engineers
  • Comfortable acting under ambiguity and drafting initial plans independently

Nice to have

  • Experience putting GenAI or LLM systems into production with RAG and guardrails
  • Multi-cloud or hybrid cloud experience at enterprise scale
  • Background in regulated industries such as financial services or healthcare
  • Holding AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Expert, or CKA certifications
