Join Headway as an early member of the security team to drive in-house product and application security efforts. You will collaborate with product and engineering groups to embed security into the design and development lifecycle, protecting therapists, patients, and payers.
The position focuses on creating agentic security workflows, defining application guardrails, and maintaining operational security standards. You will help scale secure practices across a rapidly growing codebase serving over one million patients.
What you'll do
- Partner with product and engineering teams during design and development phases
- Conduct security reviews and audit existing products for vulnerabilities
- Build agentic security tooling to address code problems at scale
- Define and implement application guardrails for secure-by-default development
- Assist in incident response, vulnerability management, and penetration testing
What you'll need
- Two or more years of experience in security or software engineering roles
- Proven history of working on security-related projects or as a security generalist
- Strong technical depth in building secure platforms and performing code reviews
- Interest in leveraging AI to reshape product security workflows
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with cross-functional teams
