Join the AI Team at Jimdo to develop Jimdo Companion, an intelligent assistant for entrepreneurs. You will design scalable backend systems, create frontend experiences, and orchestrate AI agents to automate business tasks.
This senior individual contributor position involves shaping the AI platform and enabling other teams to build AI-powered features. You will work with large language models and modern full-stack technologies in a remote-first environment.
What you'll do
- Design core systems for agent orchestration and recommendation engines
- Develop AI features that automate business tasks for customers
- Build backend services and frontend interfaces using modern stack
- Optimize LLM workflows, prompts, guardrails, and agent coordination
- Create reusable AI platform capabilities for other engineering teams
- Collaborate with product, design, and data teams on solutions
- Promote AI-augmented development practices within the team
What you'll need
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in senior roles
- Strong full-stack skills with Node.js, TypeScript, and React
- Production experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI APIs
- Familiarity with LangChain and LangGraph frameworks preferred
- Knowledge of distributed systems, REST APIs, and AWS cloud
- Experience using AI coding assistants like Cursor or Claude Code
- Strong system design skills and product thinking ability
