Join Kraken’s Finance Data Engineering and Analytics team to build trusted financial data products. You will work at the intersection of data engineering and accounting, creating automated workflows for reconciliations and reporting.
Your work will reduce manual effort in the financial close process by leveraging automation and AI-assisted tools. You will collaborate with Finance and Engineering stakeholders to ensure data reliability and traceability.
What you'll do
- Build automated workflows for data preparation and reconciliations
- Create intuitive dashboards for stakeholder decision-making
- Resolve finance data issues and reconciliation breaks
- Develop scalable pipelines for internal and external data sources
- Support the design and rollout of a finance data lake
- Improve data timeliness for near-real-time insights
- Evaluate and prototype AI-assisted automation solutions
What you'll need
- 7+ years in data analytics within financial services
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
- Experience with Git, code reviews, and testing practices
- Hands-on experience with dbt, Spark, or Airflow
- Direct experience with accounting data and month-end close
- Proven track record of owning end-to-end data pipelines
- Excellent communication skills across technical and finance teams
Nice to have
- Experience with cryptocurrency transaction data
- Processing large volumes of data using Spark or PySpark
