Join Cytora, an Applied Systems company, as a Senior Backend Engineer within a small, autonomous functional team. You will prototype, implement, and support features that digitize risks using Generative AI, helping transform the global insurance ecosystem.
The engineering team is distributed across Europe, focusing on delivering efficient collaboration tools for insurers and brokers. You will work closely with a technical lead and product owner to ship high-impact features.
What you'll do
- Prototype, implement, ship, and support new platform features
- Work independently in small teams of four to five people
- Collaborate with technical leads and product owners
- Digitize insurance risks using Generative AI technologies
- Document APIs using OpenAPI specifications
What you'll need
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Permanent right to work in the UK or Ireland
- Strong experience with Python and static type checking
- Proficiency with Git and REST API development
- Experience with relational databases like Postgres
- Knowledge of Docker and docker-compose for local development
- Familiarity with AWS services including Lambda and S3
Nice to have
- Experience with Redis and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of GCP VertexAI and BigQuery
- Familiarity with OCR engines like AWS Textract
- Experience with Prompt Engineering techniques
- Usage of Terraform for infrastructure management
- Knowledge of CircleCI and DataDog
