Join Mondoo's engineering team to enhance the platform's policy engine, scalability, and multi-region capabilities. You will help teams assess and remediate security findings by implementing automated controls and infrastructure improvements.
The role offers hands-on experience with policy-as-code frameworks while collaborating with cross-functional teams to secure cloud and on-premises environments.
What you'll do
- Build and optimize cloud infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation
- Automate system configurations with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
- Integrate infrastructure seamlessly with CI/CD pipelines
- Implement policy-as-code frameworks like Open Policy Agent
- Translate security requirements into practical code implementations
- Scale automated security controls in Kubernetes and cloud environments
- Monitor infrastructure trends to ensure system robustness
What you'll need
- Strong experience with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Proficiency in configuration management such as Ansible or Puppet
- Solid understanding of AWS, Azure, or GCP core services
- Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration
- Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages
- Knowledge of networking basics including TCP/IP and DNS
- Experience with version control systems like Git
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Willingness to grow into security policy and automation roles
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Open Policy Agent or HashiCorp Sentinel
- Knowledge of compliance standards like CIS or SOC 2
- Exposure to cloud-native security tools and services
- Relevant certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Interest in security best practices and frameworks
