You will join the engineering team at Vetcove, modernizing the animal health industry with tools for veterinary organizations. Your work will support tens of thousands of hospitals by creating intuitive products for procurement, ecommerce, and practice management.
As a senior contributor, you will handle projects from conception to completion, ensuring high code quality and system integrity. You will collaborate closely with the CTO and cross-functional teams to evolve the platform while working in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.
What you'll do
- Contribute to conceptualization and documentation of new product features
- Build and extend interactive React applications for veterinary purchasers
- Implement new features into React Native mobile applications
- Create reusable components for use by the wider engineering team
- Ensure robust test coverage for all developed features
- Collaborate with the CTO and other functions to evolve the platform
What you'll need
- Minimum 2 years of professional software engineering experience
- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Computer Science
- High proficiency in JavaScript and modern web frameworks
- Experience building successful production web applications
- Ability to design secure and performant data models
- Experience with databases, query optimization, and backend languages
- Familiarity with ORMs and writing API endpoints
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fully remote environment
