Join the AI/ML Engineering team at ClickHouse to build end-to-end AI products, including AI Functions and chDB. You will design backend inference services, create scalable APIs, and integrate these capabilities into the ClickHouse Cloud platform.
What you'll do
- Design and implement AI-powered features across the full stack
- Create robust APIs connecting database capabilities with AI inference systems
- Maintain integrations with broader AI/ML ecosystem and standards
- Integrate models into production with monitoring and observability
- Participate in daytime on-call rotation
- Build developer tools, SDKs, and documentation for AI/ML capabilities
What you'll need
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in production
- Exposure to working directly with AI/ML technologies
- Backend development experience in TypeScript or Python
- Strong focus on API design and service architecture
- Ability to drive features from concept to production independently
- Effective communication skills for diverse stakeholders
Nice to have
- Experience deploying AI/ML models and working with vector databases
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP AI/ML services
- Understanding of database systems and data processing pipelines
- Prior experience with ClickHouse
