You will lead a high-performing team responsible for modern APIs that enable essential healthcare transactions for millions of patients. This position focuses on shaping mission-critical infrastructure while ensuring rigorous quality standards and efficient project execution.
The team operates within a headless clearinghouse ecosystem, leveraging automation and AI-ready interfaces. You will partner with Product and Customer Operations to align deliverables with customer needs and resolve high-priority issues.
What you'll do
- Lead a feature team to build scalable, resilient modern APIs
- Manage daily engineering workflows and monitor project timelines
- Align engineering deliverables with customer needs and product goals
- Set clear performance expectations and review team progress regularly
- Implement process enhancements like design reviews and post-mortems
- Coordinate operational readiness for incidents and compliance requirements
- Mentor engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence
What you'll need
- 5+ years of engineering experience
- At least 3 years in a management role
- 2+ years working with AWS services
- Exceptional written communication skills
- Experience managing teams in a remote-first environment
- Ability to context switch and handle shifting priorities
- Commitment to cultivating high-performing teams
