Join SunnyData as a Senior Data Engineer to help customers build robust data foundations. You will design, build, and operationalize complex data pipelines that support Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Business Intelligence insights.
Working directly with internal teams and clients, you will guide technical decisions, manage multiple accounts, and ensure high-quality data governance and security across projects.
What you'll do
- Support new and existing customers with their data engineering needs
- Guide clients on technical decisions to achieve business goals
- Manage and report progress across multiple customer accounts
- Design, build, and operationalize complex data solutions
- Apply data transformations and recommend cleansing strategies
- Analyze data sources for value and analytical inclusion
- Implement data governance, security, and quality standards
- Educate end users on data products and analytic environments
- Resolve defects and incidents of moderate complexity
- Test data movement, transformation code, and components
What you'll need
- 7+ years in data engineering and product development
- 3+ years of experience in a consulting environment
- Strong knowledge of the Databricks platform
- Experience with legacy-to-Databricks migration projects
- Hands-on experience with DAB and clustering techniques
- Proficiency in performance optimization
- Familiarity with other data platforms and technologies
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Knowledge of CI/CD and GenAI workflows
- Strong SQL and PySpark skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering

- Experience with Databricks Genie and Databricks Apps
- Delivered 5+ projects using Databricks
