You will define the architecture for the patient-facing Marketplace, guiding the migration from a legacy PHP monolith to a modern monorepo. Using AI coding agents, you will prototype solutions, set quality standards, and ensure domains become reusable building blocks for the wider product portfolio.
What you'll do
- Define target architecture for search, listings, profiles and booking flow
- Plan and execute domain migration using strangler pattern and anti-corruption layers
- Transform domains into natively owned monorepo components with data and logic
- Create clear contracts for Marketplace capabilities to enable portfolio integration
- Prototype risky migration parts using AI agents and guide teams on implementation
- Mentor senior engineers on system design and pragmatic decision-making
What you'll need
- Experience leading technical direction across multiple teams in production
- Proven track record decomposing large legacy systems under live traffic
- Strong background in distributed systems and backend architecture
- Hands-on experience using AI agents to accelerate software development
- Ability to direct AI code generation while maintaining design and security control
- Fluent English communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience with two-sided marketplaces or booking systems
- Knowledge of monorepos at scale including build tooling and ownership
- Background in exposing product capabilities to AI agents
- Experience in healthcare or regulated domains with strict data privacy
