Join Render's Key/Value team to operate and maintain the KV product serving millions of developers. You will take end-to-end ownership of full-stack projects, helping the platform scale while focusing on user experience and reliability.
The team collaborates with design and product stakeholders to evolve capabilities as complexity grows. This position requires deep experience with distributed systems and stateful services at scale.
What you'll do
- Operate and maintain the Render KV fleet infrastructure
- Collaborate with design, product, and engineering teams
- Evolve the KV product features as it scales in complexity
- Participate in team planning, roadmapping, and goal-setting
- Help shape team culture and engineering practices
- Share on-call responsibilities with the rest of the team
What you'll need
- At least six years of professional software shipping experience
- Experience collaborating with product and design stakeholders
- Strong sense of ownership and pragmatic decision-making skills
- Comfortable working within distributed system architectures
- Proven experience operating a KV datastore at scale
- Familiarity with modern software build and deploy tooling
Nice to have
- Experience working across the full stack independently
- Strong understanding of web frameworks, APIs, and databases
- Experience building for product-driven growth audiences
- Familiarity with Go, TypeScript, React, or Kubernetes
- Experience with Postgres, Terraform, or Temporal
