Join BJAK as an Applied AI Engineer to develop AI-driven solutions for their leading insurance and financial platform in Southeast Asia. You will build agents and tools that automate real-world tasks in onboarding, support, and operations, moving beyond research to deliver production-ready systems.
What you'll do
- Build AI agents and workflows to solve customer and operational problems
- Apply LLMs, retrieval, and tool calling to financial processes
- Create AI-assisted features for KYC, support, and document handling
- Collaborate with product teams to identify and ship high-value features
- Design systems with attention to accuracy, latency, and security
- Convert manual tasks into scalable, reliable AI-enabled systems
What you'll need
- Hands-on engineering experience with AI agents and LLM apps
- Strong coding skills in Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript
- Ability to build and maintain RAG systems and automation workflows
- Judgement on when to automate versus when to keep manual processes
- Experience shipping working systems and improving reliability
- Strong English communication skills for global team collaboration
Nice to have
- Experience in fintech, banking, or fraud detection
- Background in support automation or CRM systems
- Knowledge of risk review and KYC processes
- Experience with operations automation
