What you'll do
- Design and execute tests for APIs, databases, and service integrations
- Validate API functionality and performance using Postman or Swagger
- Verify database operations, queries, and data integrity in PostgreSQL
- Review pull requests to ensure code quality and adequate test coverage
- Develop and maintain automated tests for backend services
- Identify potential reliability or performance issues in infrastructure
- Document defects, test cases, and results in management tools like TestRail
- Collaborate with developers to improve testing strategies and product quality
What you'll need
- Approximately 2–3 years of experience in backend testing or SDET roles
- Proficiency with Node.js and TypeScript in backend environments
- Familiarity with SQL databases, especially PostgreSQL, for query validation
- Experience testing REST APIs using tools such as Postman or Swagger
- Understanding of API, database, and integration testing practices
- Comfortable reviewing pull requests and backend architecture changes
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
