You will focus on validating API functionality, database integrity, and service integrations using Node.js and TypeScript environments. Working from the Lisbon office, you will design automated tests, review pull requests, and help maintain high quality standards across the infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Design and execute tests for backend systems, APIs, and databases
- Validate API performance using tools like Postman or Swagger
- Verify database queries and data integrity in PostgreSQL
- Review pull requests to ensure code quality and test coverage
- Develop and maintain automated tests for backend services
- Identify potential reliability or performance issues in infrastructure
- Document defects and test cases using management tools like TestRail
What you'll need
- 2-3 years of experience in backend testing or development
- Proficiency with Node.js and TypeScript in backend contexts
- Experience with SQL databases, specifically PostgreSQL
- Skilled in testing REST APIs with Postman or similar tools
- Understanding of API, database, and integration testing practices
- Ability to review backend architecture and pull requests
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
