Pragmatike recruits an Engineering Manager to take ownership of the engineering function for a growing technology company. This role combines leadership with hands-on technical input, focusing on scalability, reliability, and aligning technical direction with business priorities.
The position starts ASAP as a 3-month initial mission, renewable based on needs. You will work closely with product and business stakeholders to improve delivery processes and guide the engineering team.
What you'll do
- Define and drive the engineering roadmap aligned with business goals
- Lead, mentor, and support engineers while removing blockers
- Make and challenge architectural decisions for scalability
- Lead complex technical projects from planning to execution
- Translate stakeholder requirements into technical objectives
- Establish and improve development standards and processes
- Contribute hands-on when deeper technical input is needed
- Evaluate new technologies in Cloud, AI, and Blockchain
What you'll need
- Significant experience as Engineering Manager or similar lead role
- Strong software engineering background in Python, Ruby, Elixir, or Golang
- Proven experience managing teams and delivering complex projects
- Strong understanding of software architecture and modern workflows
- Ability to balance technical depth with people leadership
- Fluent French is mandatory
- Strong English communication skills required
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
