Pragmatike is recruiting an experienced Engineering Manager to take ownership of the engineering function for a growing technology client. This is a 3-month renewable consulting mission starting ASAP, combining team leadership with hands-on technical guidance.
You will bridge the gap between business priorities and technical execution, mentoring engineers while shaping architecture and delivery processes. The role suits a pragmatic leader comfortable making decisions in a fast-moving, remote environment.
What you'll do
- Define and drive the engineering roadmap aligned with business goals
- Lead, mentor, and support engineers to remove blockers
- Make and challenge architectural decisions for scalability
- Manage complex technical projects from planning to execution
- Translate stakeholder requirements into technical objectives
- Establish and improve development standards and processes
- Contribute technically when deeper input is needed
- Evaluate new technologies in Cloud, AI, and Blockchain
What you'll need
- Significant experience as an Engineering Manager or Lead
- Strong background in Python, Ruby, Elixir, or Golang
- Proven track record managing teams and delivering projects
- Deep understanding of software architecture and best practices
- Ability to balance technical depth with people leadership
- Strong knowledge of agile methodologies
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent French is mandatory
- Strong English communication skills required
