Join Clipbook as one of the first engineers to architect and build solutions for communications and public affairs teams. You will work on AI integration, data engineering, and full-stack development while influencing technical direction and company culture.
The team values rapid iteration and direct user feedback. You will tackle challenges ranging from LLM productionization to building pipelines for multi-modal datasets, with a clear path to engineering leadership as the company scales.
What you'll do
- Architect and implement solutions across the full stack from concept to deployment
- Collaborate directly with customers to understand pain points and iterate quickly
- Productionize LLMs and classical ML models for high-uptime applications
- Build pipelines for ingesting and querying massive multi-modal datasets
- Shape engineering culture including code quality, testing, and documentation standards
- Mentor future hires and drive best practices while staying hands-on
What you'll need
- 2–10+ years of engineering experience at tech and product-driven companies
- Proficiency with Next.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and React
- Deep knowledge of cloud-based services, containerization, and API development
- Experience optimizing data architectures for performance and cost
- Ability to take ownership and fix issues without waiting for direction
- Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and ambiguity
- Strong product sense and bias for action over analysis paralysis
Nice to have
- Experience with LLM fine-tuning, RAG, RLHF, or eval pipelines
- Background in computer vision or multimodal model experience
- Familiarity with semantic search, vector databases, or meaning-aware retrieval
- Experience with web scraping frameworks like Playwright or Puppeteer
- Comfort with asynchronous workflows, rate-limiting, and distributed systems
- Previous startup founder or early-stage company experience
