ClickHouse is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to enhance ClickStack, an open-source tool that turns telemetry data into actionable insights. You will build features that streamline debugging and monitoring, working on both frontend and backend systems to handle petabyte-scale data efficiently.
The team focuses on creating a superior developer experience by integrating logs, metrics, traces, and session replays. You will collaborate with the open-source community and customers to solve technical challenges and improve the platform's performance.
What you'll do
- Own and build key frontend and backend features for debugging tools
- Collaborate with open-source contributors and integrate user feedback
- Optimize HyperDX and ClickStack for high-performance data analysis
- Scale the cloud-hosted platform to support growing customer needs
- Design solutions that empower engineers to resolve production issues
What you'll need
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in dev tools
- Strong skills in TypeScript and Node.js (Next.js and Express)
- Proficient in React.js for frontend development
- Experience with SQL for query generation on ClickHouse
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration
- Passion for open source and engaging with the developer community
Nice to have
- Expertise in distributed systems and event ingestion pipelines
- Experience working with columnar databases
- Knowledge of Python, Rust, or PHP for building integrations
- Experience developing SDKs
- Strong vision for improving observability tools
