Join the team behind ClickStack, an open-source platform that unifies logs, metrics, traces, and session replays into actionable insights. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will build key features for this petabyte-scale observability tool, focusing on delivering a superior developer experience.
You will work on both frontend and backend systems, collaborating with the open-source community to solve complex debugging challenges. The goal is to create efficient analysis tools that allow engineers to pinpoint root causes faster than traditional monitoring solutions.
What you'll do
- Own and build key frontend and backend features for the observability platform
- Collaborate with open-source contributors and integrate user feedback
- Optimize HyperDX and ClickStack for high-efficiency data processing
- Scale the cloud-hosted platform to support growing customer demands
- Design tools that help engineers resolve production issues quickly
What you'll need
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in developer tools
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js
- Experience with Next.js for frontend and Express for backend
- Solid skills in React.js for building user interfaces
- Proficiency in SQL for query generation on ClickHouse
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration
- Passion for open source and engaging with the developer community
Nice to have
- Expertise in distributed systems and event ingestion pipelines
- Experience working with columnar databases
- Familiarity with Python, Rust, or PHP for building integrations
- Experience developing SDKs
- Strong vision for improving observability tools
