As a Founding Mobile Engineer, you will own the end-to-end mobile experience, making foundational technical decisions for Nectar's AI-powered social operating system. You will collaborate directly with product, design, and leadership to ship features that connect brands with communities through authentic social interactions.
What you'll do
- Architect and build the React Native application for iOS and Android
- Implement AI-powered features for real-time agent interactions
- Define mobile architecture patterns and shared components
- Establish testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and performance standards
- Integrate with social APIs like TikTok, Meta, and Instagram
- Connect with e-commerce systems such as Shopify
- Monitor reliability and optimize performance through error tracking
What you'll need
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Deep expertise in React Native development
- Proven track record of shipping production mobile apps
- Strong grasp of mobile architecture and state management
- Experience integrating external APIs and real-time data features
- Comfortable working across the stack in a startup environment
- High ownership mindset with ability to operate in ambiguity
Nice to have
- Experience with native iOS or Android module bridging
- Background in social media or e-commerce infrastructure
- Production experience with LLMs or AI agents
- Previous founding or early-stage startup experience
- Open-source contributions or notable side projects

How you'll work
