Join the Banking team at Solidgate, where you will help digital companies access EU banking services. You will design backend services for corporate card management and integrate with core banking providers, AML systems, and SWIFT networks.
The team is small and senior-focused, offering a clean codebase without legacy constraints. You will own features from initial design through to production, collaborating closely with finance and platform teams to ensure reliable payment flows.
What you'll do
- Design backend services for corporate card issuance and user permissions
- Integrate with core banking providers, AML systems, and SWIFT networks
- Translate third-party documentation into integration and architecture plans
- Participate in product decisions from RFC and PRD to production launch
- Improve system performance and observability using Kafka and monitoring tools
- Write unit and functional tests while following security best practices
- Collaborate with design and finance teams to deliver end-to-end user experiences
What you'll need
- At least 2 years of backend development experience
- Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript or similar backend languages
- Strong command of SQL databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Experience writing unit and functional tests using Jest or similar tools
- Proven ability to build or integrate complex distributed systems
- Self-starter who can own features from start to finish without hand-holding
- Clear communication skills to explain and defend technical decisions
Nice to have
- Experience with event-driven systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS
- Familiarity with fintech, crypto, or payment system integrations
- Hands-on experience with Docker, AWS, and Terraform
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or GitHub Actions
- Understanding of API security patterns and vulnerability mitigation
