Join Sensor Tower as a Frontend Engineer where you will define how features are built rather than just implementing them. You will take ownership of major technical components, ensuring applications remain scalable, maintainable, and fast while shaping the product's technical direction.
In this lean organization, your input directly influences the user experience. You will collaborate with product managers during ideation and partner with data science and backend teams to ensure seamless data flow and system reliability.
What you'll do
- Architect complex, scalable frontend systems that remove unnecessary code complexity
- Partner with Product Managers to co-author requirements and define feature scope
- Lead technical decision-making for medium-to-large scoped features
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and pair programming
- Proactively identify bottlenecks and drive initiatives to fix technical debt
- Advocate for best practices in React, TypeScript, and web performance optimization
- Collaborate with Data Science and Backend Engineers to ensure end-to-end reliability
What you'll need
- 4+ years of software engineering experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
- Proven ability to architect complex state management solutions
- Experience designing systems that prioritize long-term maintainability
- Track record of elevating peer skills through teaching patterns and best practices
- Competence in writing robust unit and integration tests using Jest or Playwright
- Deep understanding of web performance, browser internals, and optimization techniques
- Product owner mindset focused on solving real user problems with code
Nice to have
- Experience in data visualization and handling large datasets with libraries like Highcharts
- Portfolio or GitHub history demonstrating clean code and architectural skills
- Familiarity with backend frameworks like Ruby on Rails or Angular
- Knowledge of databases such as Clickhouse, Mongo, or Postgres
- Experience using AI-driven coding tools to enhance efficiency
