Join Sensor Tower as a Frontend Engineer where you will own major technical components and shape the product's technical direction. You will partner with Product Managers to define scope and ensure engineering feasibility, delivering fluid user experiences that help customers understand the digital ecosystem.
In this lean organization, your voice matters. You will drive best practices in React and TypeScript, mentor peers, and collaborate with Data Science and Backend teams to ensure seamless data flow and system reliability.
What you'll do
- Architect and deliver complex, scalable frontend systems that remain simple and effective
- Partner with Product Managers to co-author requirements and shape feature scope
- Lead technical decision-making for medium-to-large scoped features
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and pair programming
- Proactively identify bottlenecks and technical debt to improve the frontend stack
- Advocate for best practices in React, TypeScript, and web performance optimization
- Collaborate with Data Science and Backend Engineers to ensure end-to-end reliability
What you'll need
- 4+ years of software engineering experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
- Proven ability to architect complex state management solutions
- Experience designing systems that prioritize long-term maintainability
- Track record of elevating peer skills through teaching patterns and best practices
- Competence in writing robust unit and integration tests using Jest or Playwright
- Deep understanding of web performance and browser internals for data-heavy apps
- Product owner mindset focused on solving real user problems with code
Nice to have
- Experience in data visualization and handling large datasets with libraries like Highcharts
- Portfolio or GitHub history demonstrating clean code and architectural skills
- Familiarity with backend frameworks like Ruby on Rails or Angular
- Knowledge of databases such as Clickhouse, Mongo, or Postgres
- Experience using AI-driven coding tools to enhance efficiency
