You will develop native Android features for BJAK's AI Finance Agent, ensuring high performance and reliability for real customers. The team works on simplifying complex financial journeys, including insurance, payments, and investments, across Southeast Asia.
This position requires strong ownership of product quality, from integrating backend APIs to optimizing app performance and memory usage. You will collaborate with product and design teams to deliver stable mobile experiences that leverage AI where it adds genuine value.
What you'll do
- Build and ship Android features using Kotlin for financial services
- Create clean mobile flows for insurance, payments, and claims
- Collaborate with product and design to simplify user journeys
- Integrate backend APIs ensuring stability and security
- Optimize app performance, crash rates, and memory usage
- Use analytics and production data to improve the product
- Implement AI-assisted features where they enhance user experience
What you'll need
- 3+ years of Android development experience with Kotlin
- Strong fundamentals and history of shipping production apps
- Proficiency in Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow, and modern architecture
- Solid understanding of mobile UX, usability, and edge cases
- Experience integrating REST APIs and debugging production issues
- Fast execution style with high ownership of code quality
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration
