Join BJAK as an Android Engineer to develop the native experience for their AI-powered Neobank application. You will collaborate with product and design teams to simplify complex financial journeys, ensuring high performance and reliability for users across Southeast Asia.
The team values fast execution and ownership, looking for builders who prioritize user experience and code quality. You will work on features related to insurance, payments, and savings, leveraging modern Android architecture and on-device AI inference.
What you'll do
- Build and ship Android features using Kotlin for the AI Neobank App
- Create clean mobile flows for insurance, payments, and financial services
- Collaborate with product and design to simplify complex user journeys
- Integrate backend APIs to ensure stable and secure mobile flows
- Optimize app performance, crash rates, and memory usage
- Use analytics and production data to drive product improvements
- Implement AI-assisted features where they enhance the user journey
What you'll need
- 3+ years of Android development experience using Kotlin
- Strong fundamentals in shipping production-ready mobile apps
- Proficiency with Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow, and modern architecture
- Solid understanding of mobile UX, usability, and edge cases
- Experience integrating REST APIs and debugging production issues
- Ability to execute quickly while maintaining code quality
- Strong English communication skills for global team collaboration
Nice to have
- Portfolio with app links, GitHub repos, or screenshots of shipped work
- Experience with TensorFlow Lite for on-device inference
- Background in fintech or insurance platforms
