Join TELUS Digital as a Roboticist acting as both a trusted advisor and hands-on engineer for global robotics clients. You will design perception systems, manage data pipelines, and guide large-scale deployments while bridging the gap between client vision and technical execution across North America, Europe, and APAC teams.
What you'll do
- Act as primary robotics advisor in client conversations to co-design solutions
- Build computer vision and perception systems including detection and pose estimation
- Design egocentric data-collection pipelines for robot learning applications
- Evaluate and fine-tune VLA models under specific data and compute constraints
- Define program scope and equipment needs based on desired client outcomes
- Translate client requirements into executable specifications for internal teams
- Provide real-time technical feedback on equipment and field performance during pilots
What you'll need
- Degree in robotics, mechatronics, or closely related technical field
- Proven track record of shipping robotics ML or CV solutions to production
- Experience in client-facing or presales roles for automation programs
- Strong expertise in 3D geometry, sensor calibration, and LiDAR processing
- Proficiency in Python and PyTorch with ability to implement research papers
- Experience with sim-to-real tools like Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, or Gazebo
- Willingness to travel globally to support data collection and site setups
Nice to have
- Experience supporting global or multi-region client engagements
- Hands-on work with multi-camera system calibration and synchronization
- Ability to interpret state-of-the-art technical reports from frontier labs
