Join the Support Services team at ClickHouse as a Senior Consulting Engineer, working directly with strategic enterprise customers. You will balance hands-on engineering tasks, such as architecture design and implementation, with consultative support for production launches and proof of concepts.
When not assigned to specific customer projects, you will assist the broader support team with L1 to L3 cases. This position requires close collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales teams to influence the product roadmap and ensure customer success.
What you'll do
- Lead customer projects focusing on design, architecture, and integration
- Provide consultative support for onboarding and production launches
- Handle L1 to L3 support cases when not engaged in projects
- Collaborate with internal teams to contribute to product roadmap
- Create technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and blogs
- Mentor new team members and assist with hiring processes
- Participate in on-call rotation for global 24x7 support coverage
What you'll need
- 5+ years in Professional Services, Support, or Engineering roles
- 5+ years implementing or supporting distributed database systems
- Deep knowledge of DBMS, OLAP, and distributed systems engineering
- Experience leading large-scale technical projects with multiple engineers
- Expertise with AWS, GCP, or Azure infrastructure services
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, and system administration
Nice to have
- Prior experience working with ClickHouse
- Active participation in open-source communities
- Experience with data pipelines like Kafka, Spark, or RabbitMQ
- Familiarity with multiple public cloud providers
