Join the Support Services team at ClickHouse as a Senior Consulting Engineer, delivering consultative support to strategic enterprise users. You will blend hands-on engineering with customer-facing assistance, helping clients with implementation, migration, and performance optimization.
This position involves working directly with customers on complex projects while also handling support cases across L1 to L3 tiers. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to influence the roadmap and create technical content.
What you'll do
- Lead customer projects focusing on design, architecture, and integration
- Provide consultative support for implementation and production launches
- Handle L1 to L3 support cases when not assigned to major projects
- Partner with internal teams to contribute to product roadmap
- Create documentation, knowledge base articles, and reference architectures
- Mentor new team members and assist with hiring processes
- Participate in on-call rotation for 24x7 global support coverage
What you'll need
- 5+ years in Professional Services, Support, or Engineering roles
- Experience with scalable, distributed database management systems
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms
- Proven track record leading large-scale technical projects
- Expertise with AWS, GCP, or Azure infrastructure services
- Excellent communication skills for customer-facing interactions
Nice to have
- Prior experience with ClickHouse database
- Active participation in open-source communities
- Experience with data pipelines like Kafka or Spark
- Familiarity with multiple public cloud providers
