Join the Platform Infrastructure Engineering team to build and operate Menlo Security's core infrastructure platform. You will enable secure internet connectivity for customers by managing services on a cloud-native stack spanning multiple regions. The team focuses on security-first design, observability, and reducing operational toil through automation and Infrastructure as Code.
What you'll do
- Design and maintain VM and Kubernetes infrastructure on GCP and AWS across multiple regions
- Build Infrastructure as Code using Terraform modules and Spacelift for provisioning resources
- Implement observability solutions with Grafana Cloud, Prometheus, and OTel collectors
- Manage certificate lifecycle, DNS automation, ingress controllers, and Cilium service mesh
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Security teams on capacity planning and architecture
- Eliminate operational toil by writing scripts, building CI/CD pipelines, and using AI tools
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to respond to incidents and drive post-incident reviews
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Over ten years of experience in software engineering
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, and Go programming languages
- Strong understanding of network topologies and protocols like TCP/IP, HTTP/S, and TLS
- Expertise in Kubernetes cluster administration, RBAC, networking, and troubleshooting
- Proven experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management
- Knowledge of GCP services including GKE, VPC, Cloud DNS, and Workload Identity
- Ability to use LLM-based code-assist tools for building and troubleshooting infrastructure
