As a Staff Site Reliability Engineer at TENEX, you will drive technical excellence for an AI-native Managed Detection and Response provider. You will design scalable infrastructure, automate operational processes, and optimize performance for high-throughput AI workloads.
You will collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams to embed reliability into the development lifecycle. This position offers the chance to shape production environments and influence engineering practices within a well-funded, fast-growing startup.
What you'll do
- Design and maintain highly available, secure infrastructure for AI platforms
- Develop internal tooling to streamline deployments and incident response
- Monitor system performance and optimize for low-latency AI workloads
- Lead incident response efforts and conduct post-mortems
- Manage cloud infrastructure via code using IaC principles
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability from concept to production
What you'll need
- 10+ years in SRE, DevOps, or Systems Engineering managing scale
- Deep expertise in AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud environments
- Experience managing Kubernetes services like EKS or GKE
- Extensive use of Terraform, Pulumi, or similar IaC tools
- Hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog
- Solid understanding of microservices and distributed databases
- Strong communication and collaborative problem-solving skills
Nice to have
- Background in cybersecurity SIEM, EDR, or SOAR infrastructure
- Experience supporting large-scale AI/ML workloads and GPU scheduling
- Familiarity with Agentic Workflows such as Agno or Temporal
- History of driving engineering initiatives in high-growth startups
- Relevant certifications like CKA, CKAD, or Cloud Architect
