As a Solutions Architect at Mapbox, you will act as a trusted technical advisor for global OEMs and startups. You will partner with sales teams to discover customer needs, design scalable architectures using Mapbox SDKs and APIs, and deliver prototypes that drive business outcomes. This position bridges strategy, architecture, and delivery within the mobility and mapping sector.
What you'll do
- Partner with sales to position technical value and shape opportunities
- Lead technical discovery to define customer goals and success criteria
- Design scalable architectures using Mapbox SDKs, APIs, and services
- Respond to RFI/RFQ requests with clear documentation and proposals
- Conduct workshops, demos, and proofs of concept for enablement
- Advocate for customer needs to influence product and engineering direction
- Stay current on mapping, mobility, and AI technologies
What you'll need
- Fluent in Korean and English, both written and verbal
- Reside in Japan or South Korea
- 5+ years in solutions architecture, consulting, or customer-facing engineering
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred
- Knowledge of web and mobile technologies including JavaScript, Android, iOS
- Experience integrating back-end APIs with front-end SDKs
- Strong business acumen and ability to work autonomously
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for meetings and events
Nice to have
- Experience with GIS, location intelligence, or geospatial data
- Experience with major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with AI technologies
- Understanding of Automotive industry ecosystems and ADAS
- Experience collaborating with OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers
